Entering the 2023-24 campaign with a strong compliment of both veteran talent and impactful newcomers, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team begin their march to another postseason opportunity this coming weekend.
Last season the Blues qualified for the OUA playoffs after finishing fourth in the OUA Central division with a 13-9 regular season record. U of T parlayed that success from a season ago into an impressive preseason this fall, claiming six wins throughout their eight-game exhibition schedule, including victories over the likes of UBC-Okanagan, McGill, Laval and Ivey League opponent Harvard.

MARQUEE GAMES
Nov 15 vs. TMU
In the first game of a home-and-home series with TMU, the Blues will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak against the downtown rivals. Toronto captured an exciting overtime victory on home court a season ago, providing excitement for the fans each and every time these two teams meet.
December 1/2 vs. Lakehead
With the Thunderwolves turning themselves into an annual OUA contender, U of T will expect home court advantage to assist them in back-to-back games versus Lakehead. The final weekend of action for the fall semester will also allow the Blues to see how they measure up heading into the second half of the season after the winter break.
January 12 at Western
The first road trip of the winter semester for the Blues, the trip to London occurs right in the middle of a four-game sequence versus very tough OUA West opponents. Toronto knocked off Western by a convincing 92-83 margin a season ago, and will need to replicate results like that again during the difficult road trip west.
February 3 vs. Nipissing
Marking the Blues regular season home finale, U of T have seen back-and-forth results on home court versus the Lakers in recent years. Toronto will be looking to finish out the season on a high-note, and with an 8-3 record against Nipissing dating back to 2014, they will have a good opportunity to deliver.
