The Varsity Blues baseball team lost to the Carleton Ravens 4-0 and 7-1 on Saturday (Sept. 24) afternoon at Dan Lang Field.
With the losses, the Blues now hold a 6-2 record in the OUA season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Carleton 4, Toronto 0
Kevin Angers pitched six innings for the Blues striking out eight batters, while allowing four runs on seven hits. Matthew Hanhai pitched the last inning for the Blues.
Ravens pitcher Nathan van Putten pitched a perfect game allowing no hits through seven innings, while striking out 12 batters.
Ravens Andrew Sahadeo, Quinten McRae, Taras Okrimtchouk and Max Johnston scored the four runs for the Ravens.
Carleton 7, Toronto 1
Lem Beach scored the Blues lone run with a homerun in the first inning.
Ravens pitcher Jayson Moss McEachern pitched five innings striking out 12 batters and allowing three hits.
Andrew Sahadeo led the way for the Carleton Ravens with two runs. Damon Gregoris, Quinten McRae, Justin Dineen, Jacob Pokocky and Nick Doirion scored a run each for the Ravens.
UP NEXT: The Blues return to the field on Saturday, October 1
st when they play Toronto Metropolitan University at Bishop's Cross Park.
