It was a tough trip to London, Ont., for the Varsity Blues on Saturday, falling in both ends of their double-header against the Western Mustangs.
Playing just their third and fourth games of the 2022 OUS regular season, the Blues fell 6-0 to Western before dropping a 10-4 decision.
In the opener, Erin Sullivan, Amelia Collet and Shilo Chislett each recorded a hit, while Sullivan pitched all six innings on the mound.
Playing in the latter of the two games, the Blues jumped out to a 4-2 lead after five innings thanks to base hit from J Kurzrock that knocked in two runs, and RBI base hits from Chislett and Janelle Hodge.
However, Western would go on to score eight runs combined in the sixth and seventh innings to sweep the double-header. Joely Ma threw 5.2 innings, while Sullivan made her second appearance of the day throwing an inning.
The Blues return to action on Sunday when they head to Windsor for a pair of games.
