BLUES FALL TO OTTAWA IN EXHIBITION GAME

The Varsity Blues men's hockey team lost 4-1 to the Ottawa Gee-Gee's in an exhibition game on Saturday (Sept. 17) afternoon in Ottawa.
 
The Gee-Gee's opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal from Mathieu Desgagnes. The Gee-Gee's would add two goals in the second period from Kaden Bryant and Anthony Poulin, who scored on the powerplay. Tommy Bouchard would finish the scoring for the Gee-Gee's in the third period. 
 
Blues defencemen Ben Dirven scored the Blues lone goal in the third period. 
 
Blues goalie Rayce Ramsay stopped 27 shots in the Blues loss. 
 
The Varsity Blues return to action Thursday, September 22 when they faceoff against TMU at Varsity Stadium in an exhibition match. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
