Hitting the road for the second consecutive day to start their 2022 OUA regular season, the Varsity Blues improved to 4-0 with a pair of wins in Hamilton, Ont., over the McMaster Marauders.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Falling behind 6-1 after one inning of play, the Blues were down but far from out.
Having chipped away at the lead throughout the contest, the Blues trailed 7-5 in the late stages, when Lem Beach launched a two-run homerun to centre field to the game.
Toronto then took the lead on a McMaster error, before tacking on three more runs to secure the 11-7 win.
In the latter half, the Blues offence continued to roll scoring five runs in the first inning. Beach and Jakob Cellupica both had a pair of rbi's for Toronto as they went on to win 9-7.
Also pitching in for the Blues on offence, were Owen Taylor and Connor Broughton who each had a pair of hits.
UP NEXT: Toronto will battle Waterloo in an exhibition game on September 13, before resuming their regular season schedule against TMU on September 17.
