Box Score The Varsity Blues women's volleyball team remains undefeated, winning in a five-set thriller (22-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 16-14) against the York Lions on Wednesday, February 23.
TORONTO STATS:Â It was a career night for the Blues rookies as Toronto completed a comeback after being down two sets to zero and 14-10 in the fifth set.
First-year outside hitter Julia Murmann led the Blues with a career-high 18.5 points off of 15 kills, three service aces and a block assist. Fellow rookie Asya Dogruer had nine kills, two service aces, and 1.5 blocks to finish with a career-high 15 points.
Both middles were crucial in the victory as Jenna Woock tied a season-high of 15 points off of 10 kills, two service aces and three blocks, while Anna Maria Gadomski finished with a career-high 13.5 points from nine kills, four service aces and a block assist.
Libero Sophia Currier led Toronto with a season-high 21 digs, while Hope Kotun also had her best defensive game of the season, finishing with 19 digs. Fourth-year setter Hayley Goodwin had 36 assists in the victory.
