HOW IT HAPPENED: The first period began the way of the Mustangs. First-year forward Ethan Browne opened the scoring just about five minutes into the period. The two teams battled for the rest of the period and with three minutes to go, Blues second-year forward Owen Robinson scored on the power-play to even out the score.

Going into the third period tied 1-1, the Blues were able to take advantage of their offense. Halfway through the third period, fourth year forward Owen Guy scored on the power play giving the Blues the lead.
