The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team bested the Windsor Lancers 3-0 in exhibition action on Friday, October 10, at Goldring Centre.
The Blues saw out a hard fought three sets, out scoring the Lancers 25-22, 26-24 and 25-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Blues attack was lead by third-year left side, Martin Licht. The Toronto, Ont. native registered 14 kills and two aces totaling 17-points. Licht also recorded eight digs in the victory.
Veteran standouts Evan Falardeau and Mitchel Neuert had a large impact on the Blues performance as well. Falardeau tallied 10 kills and two aces for 12-points, while Neuert had nine kills, one ace and one solo block for 11.5-points.
Setting up the offence, setter Davis Young and libero Daniel Turor combined for 11 digs, while Young finished with a game-high 36 assists.
UP NEXT: The Blues open their 2022-23 regular season on Saturday, November 5 as they take on the Queen's Gaels in Kingston. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
