The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team defeated the Queen's Gaels 7-0 and 4-2 on Saturday, September 25 in Kingston, Ont.

Conall Helverson didn't allow a single run as the Blues defeated Queen's 7-0 on Saturday.

Helverson allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one.

The Blues secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the sixth inning. Maxwell Denison, Owen Taylor, Niko Kekatos, Kristyan Puyols-Gennosar, and Demitre Zoumboulakis all drove in runs in the frame.

Zoumboulakis went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Toronto in hits.

U of T took home a 4-2 victory over Queen's in their second game of the day on Saturday.

The Blues got their offense started in the second inning when Brendan Colley drove in one when Colley doubled.

Kento Moriyoshi took the win for U of T. The pitcher lasted six and a third innings, allowing zero hits and two runs, while striking out three and walking one. Kevin Angers threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Owen Taylor, Jakob Cellupika, Niko Kekatos, Connor Broughtom, Colley, and Maxwell Denison each managed one hit to lead Toronto. The Blues stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Taylor led the way with three.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action tomorrow as they welcome the Gaels to Dan Lang Field. Game times are set for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
