The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 3-1 to the Rams on Thursday, Nov. 5th at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.
The loss would mark the Blues second straight, dropping their record to 1-4-0.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â A back-and-fourth first period saw the two teams level at the end of the first 20-minutes of play.
Â
It would take 14:29 into the second period to break the deadlock as Blues first-year forward Danny Katic buried the rebound past Rams goalie Garrett Forest, following shots from second-year forward Kyle Potts and second-year defenceman Brendan Bornstein.
The Rams leveled the game early into the third period through fourth-year defenceman Gregory DiTomaso. Building off the momentum from DiTomaso goal, a Rams surge late in the third period would decide the game. First-year forward Kyle Bollers gave the Rams the lead 17:10 into the second period before, third-year forward Jacob Kamps' empty net goal would seal the Rams victory with eight seconds left to play.
Third-year netminder Alex Bishop made 42 saves in the loss.
