BLUES COME UP SHORT IN SEASON OPENER

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team fell to the Queen's Gaels 98-62 in their season opener on Saturday November, 12 at Queen's University.
 
TORONTO STATS: 
The Blues performance was highlighted by second-year guard Lauren Boers. The Milton native lead the Blues with 15-points and recorded four rebounds, two assists and one block in the loss.
 
Boers' point total was followed by fifth-year guard Christine Jurcau and first-year forward Jada Poon-Tip. Jurcau tallied 11-points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Poon-Tip had 11-points, five rebounds and one steal.
 
Second-year forward Jessica Muha ended the night with 10-points and two steal from the bench.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues return to action this Friday, November 19 vs. the Laurentian Voyageurs in North Bay. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
