The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team opened their season with a 98-70 loss to the Queen's Gaels on Saturday November, 12 at Queen's University.
 
TORONTO STATS: 
In the loss the Blues saw four of their players record double-digit points including rookie guard Kalyem Liburd-Mullings.
 
Fifth-year guard Evan Shadkami lead the Blues with 17-points, three rebounds and two assists, while fellow guard, second-year Inaki Alvarez recorded 14-points, three assists and two boards.
Third-year wing Jeremy Aibi continued his fine form from preseason, going 4-for-5 from the three point line to end the night with 14-points.
Liburd-Mullings' impressive second-half performance saw the debutant record 14-points and three assists.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues return to action this Friday, November 19 vs the Laurentian Voyageurs in North Bay. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
