HISTORY: The game not only marks Toronto's first post-season match-up since 1995, it marks the first football home playoff game at Varsity Stadium since 1992.

The Blues and Gee-Gees have met on three occasions in the playoffs, the last times coming in the 1974 and 1975 Yates Cup finals. Ottawa holds a 2-1 post-season head-to-head record over U of T.

THE MATCH-UP: The Blues wrapped up the regular season with a 3-3 record, their best finish since the 2013 season, and in second place in the OUA East division. The Gee-Gees also went 3-3 on the year, placing third overall in the East.

Toronto defeated Ottawa, 11-10, in their Week 1 tilt and also registered two victories over the 0-6 York Lions. The Gee-Gees victories came over the Carleton Ravens twice, and the Lions.

BLUES TO WATCH: U of T's defence ranked seventh in the province, allowing an average of 21.5 points per game. Linebackers James Greig and Dominic Ciraco led Toronto during the regular season, ranking third and ninth, respectively, in the OUA with 37 and 32.5 tackles apiece.

Not to be forgotten is fifth-year defensive lineman and 2019 CFL draftee Malcolm Campbell, who ranked fifth in the OUA with four sacks and 10th in the province with five tackles for loss.

Fifth-year veteran Clay Sequeira will look to lead the Blues to their first playoff win since 1993 this weekend. The Pierrefonds, Que., native ranked seventh among OUA quarterbacks, going 85-for-177 for 1,088 yards and five touchdowns this season.

His two favourite targets have been Will Corby and Nolan Lovegrove, who rank among the top 15 receivers in the league and each had two TD receptions during the regular season.

Third-year running back Adam Williams has led the Blues on the ground, rushing 55 times for 308 yards.
