BLUES DOWN RIDGEBACKS ON THE ROAD

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team wrapped up their pre-season schedule with a 3-2 victory over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on Saturday, October 30 in Oshawa, Ont.
 
Rookies Quinn Hanna and Owen Robinson each had two assists in the win.
 
The Blues opened the scoring midway through the first frame as Emmett Serensits found the back of the net. The Ridgebacks responded though with a goal from Matthew Barron and the game was tied at 1-1 after 20 minutes.
 
Ontario Tech took the lead midway through the second period as Cameron Hough scored, but the Blues found the equalizer thanks to Ross Krieger eight minutes later.
 
2019-20 OUA all-star Brendan Bornstein proved to be the game's hero, potting the game-winner 8:31 into the third period.
 
Alex Bishop earned the win in net.
 
UP NEXT:
The Blues open their 2021-22 regular season on Thursday, November 11 as they host the Brock Badgers at Varsity Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
