The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team opened their 2021-22 exhibition schedule with an 88-54 loss to the Concordia Stingers on Friday, October 15 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
TORONTO STATS: Second-year forward Lauren Boers led the Blues with 12 points, while NCAA transfer Thuraya Abdul Hamid recorded 11 points and three boards in her Varsity Blues debut.
 
Rookie forward Alex Jaglall added two points and a team-high eight boards in the loss.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues continued their pre-season schedule next Saturday, October 23 as they host the Guelph Gryphons at Goldring Centre. Tip off is set for 1 p.m.
