The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team fell to the McMaster Marauders by a score of 2-1 on Sunday, October 10 at Varsity Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED: A back-and-forth first half saw the Blues lead the Marauders in shots 8-7. However, neither team would convert their chances.
In the second half, Marauders rookie forward Joelle Chackal's opened the scoring (57') only to double their lead a minute later (58'). A late surge from the Blues saw first-year winger Anne Yeomans net her first of the season (87').
Fifth-year Blues goalkeeper Levanta Staggolis faced nine shots in the match, stopping seven.
