BLUES CLAIM OUA SILVER

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team dropped a narrow 3-2 (25-21, 25-18, 14-25, 17-25, 10-15) decision to the Queen's Gaels in the OUA Forsyth Cup final on Saturday night (March 7) in Hamilton, Ont.
 
Despite the loss, the Blues silver-medal standing marks their best finish since the 2003-04 season.
 
TORONTO STATS: Blues outside hitters Evan Falardeau and Chris Towe each notched 15 points on the night. Falardeau had 15 kills, while Towe registered 14 kills and one block.
 
Rookie middle Jasper Neale recorded eight points, while veteran outside hitter Nick Trewern had seven points and earned player of the match honours for his efforts.
 
Fourth-year setter Jordan Figueira tallied 38 assists and 10 digs in the loss.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues now set their sights on the 2020 U SPORTS championship, March 13-15, hosted by the University of Manitoba.
