A strong first-half performance wasn't enough as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell to an upsetting 91-83 defeat to the Guelph Gryphons in their final away game of the season on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 9).

TORONTO STATS: Evan Shadkami led the Blues in scoring with 29 points over the course of the game. This is the ninth game this season where Shadkami has registered 20+ points. Eric Rwahwire scored 20+ points for the seventh time this season, finishing the game with 20.

Along with Shadkami and Rwahwire, Daniel Johansson and Chris Barrett were the only other Blues players to score double digit points, with the two fifth-year veterans scoring 10 points each.

Johansson tallied seven rebounds to lead that category, while Barrett notched a team-high five assists.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back at home next week for their penultimate game of the season, as they host the Laurentian Voyageurs on Friday, February 14. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m.
