NO. 7 BLUES CRUISE PAST WARRIORS IN 12TH STRAIGHT WIN

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team recorded their 12th consecutive victory following a well-earned 3-0 (32-30, 25-13, 30-28) win over the Waterloo Warriors in their final away game of the regular season on Friday evening (Feb. 21).

TORONTO STATS: Offensive powerhouses Evan Falardeau and Chris Towe led the Blues in kills with a game-high 12 each.

Right-side hitter Nicholas Trewern was not far from his teammates, as he finished the game with 11 kills of his own. Trewern was also a key player on defence, as the fourth-year veteran tallied 11 digs to lead the team in that category.

First-year middle Benedikt Licht was a force to be reckoned with at the net, recording three blocks on the night.

Jordan Figueira once again ran the show on offence, registering a game-high 39 assists in the win.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back at home for their final game of the regular season, as they host the York Lions on Sunday, February 23. Opening serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
