Seniors Sarah Bennett and Nada Radonjic starred as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team recorded a convincing 69-53 victory over the visiting Nipissing Lakers in their final game of the 2019-20 season on Saturday evening (Feb. 15).
 
TORONTO STATS: Bennett and Radonjic ended their Varsity Blues careers on a high, with the two seniors combining for 36 points. Radonjic led scoring with 21, making this her fourth game this season with 20+ points. Bennett and Ellen Ougrinov were Toronto's next best scorers, registering 15 points each.
 
Bennett led the rebounding category with nine on the night. The veteran was also the team's assists leader with four over the course of the game.
 
Next year's core were also big contributors to the Blues victory, with Ougrinov also notching eight rebounds to go along with her 15 points. Nakeisha Ekwandja stole the ball three times to lead the team in that category.
