The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team placed third overall at the 2019 Humber Cup, September 27-29, in Toronto.
The Blues opened the tournament with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-20) victory over the Durham Lords on Friday afternoon, before dropping a 3-0 (22-25, 24-26, 20-25) decision to St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu on Saturday night.
Toronto then fell 3-0 (25-27, 16-25, 20-25) to the Windsor Lancers, before wrapping up pool play with a 3-1 win over Nipissing.
U of T dropped their semifinal contest, 3-1 to the Western Mustangs, but ended the tournament on a high note, defeating Limoulou 2-1 in the bronze-medal match.
UP NEXT: The Blues head to St. Catharines, Ont., for the Brock Tournament next weekend (Oct. 5-6).
