BLUES DROP DOUBLE HEADER IN OTTAWA

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues softball team were defeated twice on the road against the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Sunday September 22.

Ottawa 15-7 Toronto

Despite the double victory over Carleton, the Blues couldn't maintain their 100% record in Ottawa, dropping their first game against the Gee-Gees 15-7.

The Blues were down 8-0 coming into the third inning, but they fought back to narrow the margin by scoring four runs. Big bats in the inning were led by a single by Amanda DeConinck, a sac fly by Anna Laird, and a double by Kristen Naidu.

Although, the push in the third inning wasn't enough, as Ottawa scored five in the fourth inning, and ultimately won the game in the fifth inning.

The Blues racked up ten hits in the game. Erin Sullivan led University of Toronto Varsity Blues with three hits in four at bats.
