The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team defeated the Guelph Gryphons 4-2 before falling 4-0 to the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday (Sept. 15) at Dan Lang Field.

TORONTO STATS: Gabriel Nakonechny led the Blues offensively with two hits versus the Gryphons, while William Yang and Dorian Kemp registered RBI. Mateos Kekatos earned the win on the mound, striking out three in four innings of work.

The Blues were unable to find home plate in the second day of the game, with Kristyan Puyol-Genossar and Matthew Myhal notching the lone hits of the day for the Blues.  

UP NEXT: The Blues return to action next Saturday, September 21 as they travel to take on the Ryerson Rams.
