KELLY SHINES AS BLUES DOWN RIDGEBACKS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team defeated the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 3-1 on Friday, September 13 at Varsity Stadium. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues went up early following Valentina Greco's strike ('2) and added to it shortly after with Erin Kelly's first career goal ('14). By the 44th minute, the Ridgebacks would shrink the lead to one following a penalty kick by Sarah Foster.

In the 90th minute, the Blues fifth-year transfer Jenny Wolever would seal the deal following an assist from Erin Kelly.

The Blues defence would hold the Ridgebacks to just two shots on goal to secure the three points.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action Sunday (Sept 15) at 12 p.m., when they host the Trent Excalibur at Varsity Stadium.
