The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell 88-69 to the No. 1 nationally ranked Ryerson Rams in the Downtown Showdown, presented by Duke of York on Friday, February 1 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.

TORONTO STATS: Second-year guard Evan Shadkami led all players with 22 points, while adding three assists, one steal and one rebound on the night.

Fourth-year forward Daniel Johansson added 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while veteran guard Chris Barrett had eight points and five assists. Veteran Nikola Paradina and rookie Eli Mouyal each added seven points in the loss.

UP NEXT: The Blues travel to Sudbury, Ont., next Friday, February 8 to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
