BLUES BEST RAMS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team defeated the Ryerson Rams 80-73 on Wednesday (Nov. 27) in Toronto to improve to 4-5. This win marked the Blues first over the Rams since February 5th, 2013.

TORONTO STATS:  Fifth-year guard Chris Barrett and third-year guard Evan Shadkami both had standout performances as the Blues downed the Rams at Ryerson University's Mattamy Athletic Centre. Barrett fell two-points short of a career-high recording 24, in addition to his seven assists and two rebounds. Shadkami's second-half surge saw the third-year guard go 13-for-26 from the field and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe for 24 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals on the night.
 
First-year forward Anthony Daudu ended the night with nine points, six rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal.
 
Both Daniel Johansson and Eric Rwahwire had seven points and six rebounds in the win. Johansson added two assist, two steals and a block while, Rwahwire had three assists.
 
From the bench, second-year wing Eli Mouyal recorded five points and five rebounds while, fellow second-year wing Jeremy Aibi had two points and three rebounds.
 
First-year guard, Malik Pottinger had two points and one rebound in the win.

UP NEXT: The Blues take on the McMaster Marauders this Saturday (Nov. 30) at the University of Toronto's Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
