The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team travelled to Ottawa, Ont., for the 2019 Gee-Gees Preseason Classic, October 4-6.

The Blues opened the tournament with a 2-1 (18-25, 25-16, 25-18) come-from-behind win over the McGill Martlets before falling 2-1 to the Sherbrooke Vert et Or, Dalhousie Tigers and Guelph Gryphons.

The Blues ended the tournament on a high note, topping the Memorial Seahawks 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-17).

UP NEXT: The Blues wrap up their pre-season schedule as they head to Hamilton, Ont., to take on the McMaster Marauders on Thursday, October 17.
