The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell to the Mercyhurst Lakers 75-70 on Thursday, October 10 at Goldring Centre for HIgh Performance Sport.
WHAT HAPPENED:

At the end of a hard-fought first, the Blues and Lakers remained within one point. It wasn't until the second quarter the Lakers pulled away outscoring the Blues by ten points to make the score 39-28 at the half.
By the third quarter, the Lakers extended their lead to 13 points.

Despite a late surge in the fourth, the Blues were unable to hold on and fell to the Lakers 75-70.

Third-year guard Evan Shadkami continued his fine form recording 18 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Fifth-year forward Daniel Johansson also had 14 points, nine rebounds, and two assists in the contest.
UP NEXT:Â The Blues head to Ottawa to take on Bishops Unviersity in exhibition action this Friday, October 18 at Carleton's House Laughton Tournament. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
