The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 2-1 in overtime to the York Lions on Friday, January 4 at Canlan Ice Sports.
HOW IT HAPPENED: After Scott Feser opened the scoring for the Lions five minutes into the game, third-year Blues forward Curtis Harvey potted his first goal of the season, burying a Kevin Lavoie rebound.
The two teams remained deadlocked at 1-1 and headed into overtime. Feser proved to be the game's hero, scoring his second of the game with 1:26 to go in the extra frame.
First-year Blues netminder Alex Bishop made 19 saves in the loss.
UP NEXT: The Blues will look to bounce back tomorrow night as they head to London, Ont., to take on the Western Mustangs. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
