The University of Toronto Varsity Blues went 4-0 in OUA baseball action this weekend (Sept. 15-16) at Dan Lang Field.
Toronto 7, Laurentian 4 (Stats)
Gabriel Nakonechny led the Blues with three singles and three RBI, while Mateos Kekatos earned the win on the mound, striking out eight through six innings on the day.
Toronto 9, Laurentian 6 (Stats)
Roy Suzuki hit two home runs, driving in three runs at four at bats. Tanner Young-Schultz also had two singles and three RBI, while Brandon Hadfield and Joe Woods each had singles and one RBI apiece. Alex Tobascio was the winning pitcher, striking out two and allowing only four hits through five innings of work.
Toronto 4, Ryerson 3 (Stats)
Brandon Hadfield led the Blues with two hits and one RBI, while Gabriel Nakonechny, Tanner Young-Schultz and Michael Deluca each had one hit and one RBI in the win. Peter Nash pitched seven innings, striking out six and allowing only two hits.
Toronto 9, Ryerson 1 (Stats)
Gabriel Nakonechny had three hits, while Joe Woods and Mark Douris each notched two RBI. Dean Christidis pitched four innings, striking out two and allowing five hits, while Eric Parker closed, pitching three innings, striking out 1 and allowing two hits.
