BLUES GO 1-1 WITH GAELS

The OUA defending champion University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team opened their 2018 regular season by splitting their double header with the Queen's Gaels on Saturday, September 8 at Dan Lang Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues took Game 1, 12-2, before falling 7-0 in Game 2. Third-year standout Roy Suzuki led the Blues with three hits and five RBI in Game 1, while veteran catcher Tanner Young-Schultz also had three hits and three RBI in the win. Mateos Kekatos earned the win on the mound, striking out three in five innings.

UP NEXT: The Blues host the Laurentian Voyageurs next Saturday, September 15 at Dan Lang Field. Game times are set for 12:00 and 3:30 p.m.
