BLUES EDGE LIONS IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the York Lions 3-2 (25-8, 25-19, 21-25, 19-25, 15-5) on Sunday, February 25 at Tait Mckenzie Centre.
 
With the win, the Blues wrap up the regular season with a 15-4 record, having already clinched second place in the OUA East division. They will now host the Guelph Gryphons, who finished in third place in the West, in an OUA quarter-final match next Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m., at Goldring Centre.
 
Four Varsity Blues hit double digit points in the victory. Third-year right side hitter Alina Dormann led all players with 18.5 points off of 16 kills, one ace and one block, while also notching a game-high 10 digs.
 
Fourth-year left side hitter Anna Feore totaled 14 points off of nine kills, three aces and two blocks and had seven digs on the day.
 
Veteran middle Anna Licht and rookie standout Jenna Woock added 10.5 and 11.5 points, respectively.
 
Rookie setter Rayn Perry tallied 28 assists and six digs in the win.
