The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the No. 5 Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday, October 6 at Matt Anthony Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Gee-Gees got on the board early. Thea Abdul Nour's found the back of the net in the 8th minute to gain the early advantage. Toronto held Ottawa's offence in check until the 69th minute. Mikayala Morton tapped one by a diving Blues goalkeeper, Vanna Staggolis to push their lead to two. Staggolis' eight saves marked the fifth time she has stopped more than seven shots in a match this season.
UP NEXT: The Blues continue their road trip in Ottawa tomorrow, when they face the Carleton Ravens. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at MPP Park.
