DORMANN SHINES IN NARROW PRE-SEASON LOSS TO DEFENDING CHAMPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team fell 3-2 (26-24, 15-25, 25-20, 19-25, 17-19) to the OUA and U SPORTS defending champion Ryerson Rams in pre-season action on Saturday, October 13 at Athletic Centre Sports Gym.    
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Fourth-year right side hitter Alina Dormann led all players with 23 points off of 20 kills, two blocks and one ace, while also adding a team-high 11 digs in the narrow loss. Veteran middle Anna Licht added 14.5 points off of 13 kills and 1.5 blocks, while Brianna Patrick also reached double digits with 10 points off of eight kills and two aces. First-year setter Hayley Goodwin tallied 47 assists and nine digs in the loss.  

UP NEXT: The Blues host the McMaster Marauders in their final pre-season game tomorrow (Oct. 14). Game time is set for 12 p.m., at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
