Fourth-year veteran Nikola Paradina notched a game-high 17 points in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team to a 97-63 victory over Marywood College on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 13) at Redeemer College in Ancaster, Ont.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Paradina went 6-for-10, including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, while adding five rebounds on the day. Rookie guard Inaki Alvarez notched 13 points and five boards, while Nicholas Morris had 11 points and a team-high seven boards. Evan Shadkami also reached double digits with 10 points in the win.

UP NEXT: The Blues continue their pre-season schedule next Friday, October 19 as they host the StFX X-Men at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
