Box Score The Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team dropped an 83-65 decision to the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday night (January 5) at Montpetit Hall.
Toronto's record dips to 6-5, while Ottawa improves to 9-2 and jumps to second place in the East division.
The Blues kept up with the highly touted Gee-Gees, only down by nine after the first half. But In the third quarter they were outscored by 12 and weren't able to recover.
Christopher Barrett had a good all-around game coming off the bench. The junior made every single shot, including three from beyond the arc for 11 points. He also added four assists, three rebounds and steal. Fourth year guard Sage Usher dropped a team-high 12 points.
The road trip in Ottawa continues for Toronto as they battle the undefeated Carleton Ravens tomorrow night. Game begins at 8:00 p.m. in the Ravens nest.
