BLUES PICK UP CONVINCING WIN AFTER TIGHT GAME 1

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team split a doubleheader with the Queen's Gaels, dropping a tight first game 3-1, before winning big 9-2.

Even through eight innings in Game 1, a Gaels two run eighth decided the tight loss. Pitcher Mateos Kekatos delivered a strong performance in the loss pitching seven innings of one run ball. Playing first base in the opener, Graham Tebbit picked up the lone Blues RBI.

Game 2 statistics to follow.

The Varsity Blues will return home to Dan Lang Field next week where they will challenge the visiting Guelph Gryphons. Game 1 starts at 12 p.m.
