The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's curling team won the OUA bronze medal in Oshawa at the 2017 OUA curling championships, February 16-20, hosted by the UOIT Ridgebacks.
The podium result marks the first for the Blues since 2014 when U of T defeated Guelph 7-5 for OUA bronze.

Finishing round-robin play with a 4-3 record the Varsity Blues qualified for the quarter-finals and challenged the 6-1 Laurier Golden Hawks. With two crucial points in the final end, U of T upset the defending OUA champion Golden Hawks 7-6 to move onto the OUA semifinals where they took on the Laurentian Voyageurs. Playing from behind after a three point second end from the Voyageurs, Toronto was unable to deliver a comeback falling 8-1. U of T rebounded during an exciting bronze medal match with the Carleton Ravens, once again using a critical two point eighth end to secure a 7-6 victory for the third step on the OUA podium.
