NO. 2 BLUES HOLD OFF NO. 9 STANGS

Box Score The No. 2 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the No. 9 Western Mustangs 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 15-25, 28-26) on Saturday, February 18 in London, Ont.
 
With the win, the national defending champion Blues improve to 17-0, having already clinched first place in the East, while the Mustangs drop to 14-3 and sit first in the West.
 
Second-year right side hitter Alina Dormann led all players with 24 points on 20 kills, three aces and one block, while adding nine digs on the night.
 
Third-year left Anna Feore notched a career-high 19 points on 18 kills and one block and added seven digs.
 
Anna Licht chipped in with nine points on seven kills and two blocks, while veteran libero Asli Ersozoglu had a game-high 18 digs.
 
Fifth-year setter Madelyn Mandryk tallied 47 assists and six digs in the win.
 
The Varsity Blues wrap up the regular season at home next week (Feb. 24-25), hosting the Waterloo Warriors on Friday and Guelph Gryphons on Saturday. Opening serve on both nights is set for 6 p.m.
