U OF T STRUGGLES IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues dropped their regular season finale 100-36 to the No. 1 Carleton Ravens Saturday evening (Feb. 18) in Ottawa.

With the loss the Blues end their season with an 11-8 record claiming second place in the OUA East.

The Varsity Blues found themselves in a hole quickly against the top ranked team in the country as guard Connor Woods started the game red hot from downtown draining four three-pointers in the opening frame to put Toronto down 23-7.

From there U of T was unable to find any rhythm as the Ravens continued to pressure throughout the next three quarters shooting nearly 60 per cent from the field while going over 50 per cent from behind the arc on 19 three-pointers made.

Fifth-year forward Devin Johnson and fourth-year guard Reilly Reid each scored eight points for the Blues in the tough regular season finale loss.

The Blue and White will now get set to host an OUA playoff game at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport as they welcome the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Wednesday, February 22. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. with all the action set to be streamed live on OUA.tv.
