The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's water polo team went 2-1 to start their Chicago road trip, November 3-4.

Game 1: Toronto 8, Lindenwood  4
The Varsity Blues women's water polo team began the College Showcase tournament in Chicago with an 8-4 win over the Lindenwood University Lions.
The Blues got out to an early lead in the first quarter but relinquished it in the second.
Toronto turned it up thanks to the outstanding work in the center by Captain Ali Kraft (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) who potted five goals to lead all scorers. Freshman Caitlyn Tiedje (Calgary) added a hat trick in the win.
Game 2: Toronto 13, Carthage College Lady Reds 8
The Blues used a smothering defence to build a 6-1 half time lead against the Carthage College Lady Reds.
From there on the teams traded goals and the Blues won 13-8.
Assistant captain Ana Miroslavic (Toronto) had a huge game, getting six goals. Kraft kept rolling with a hat trick and Emily Kelvin-Davies (Fraser Valley, B.C.), Rihanna Wood (Calgary), Kassie Fraser (Vancouver) and Tiedje added singles.
Game 3: Chicago Wild Cats 10, Toronto 4
The Varsity Blues fell 10-4 to the Chicago Wild Cats, a masters team filled with NCAA Division 1 graduates.
The Blues hung in until half time trailing 4-2 but could not keep the pace up against the more experienced Wild Cats team.
Fraser led the way with a pair of goals, while Kraft and Mirolsavic added singles.
Goalie Rachael Jaffe (Irvine, California) had a very strong game in the net for the Blues, stopping several breakaways and making numerous steals.
The Blues wrap up the Chicago College Showcase tournament with a pair of games against Indiana University on Sunday.
