The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's water polo team won its National Collegiate Water Polo (NCWP) semifinal game 13-3 against the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees at Carleton University.
The Blue and White wasted no time scoring on four of its first five attacks to lead 4-0 at the end of the opening quarter.
Toronto's offence continued to roll in the second quarter, adding four more goals to take a 8-1 halftime lead.
With liberal substitutions on both sides, the Blues were able to add another goal to its margin after the teams changed ends and then closed the game with a 3-1 final frame.
Assistant captain Ana Miroslavic (Toronto) led all scorers with five goals including a natural hat-trick in the first quarter.
Captain Ali Kraft (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) and Kassie Fraser (Vancouver, B.C.) each had three goals while Caitlyn Tiedje (Calgary) and Amber Masse (San Jose, California) added single tallies.
The Blues will square off against the McMaster Marauders in the NCWP gold medal game in a rematch of last year's final. Action is set for 12:30 p.m.
