The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's volleyball teams take on the Ryerson Rams this Friday, November 17 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
The women start the action at 6 p.m., with the men to follow at 8 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here. Both matches will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.
 
The first 100 fans to the doubleheader will receive a free Varsity Blues sack pack! Gates open at 5 p.m.
 
The women's showdown will see one Toronto-based team lose their first match of the season. The Blues are off to a 3-0 start, sitting in second place in the OUA East division with two games in hand, while the Rams are 5-0 and sit atop the East standings in the early goings of the 2017-18 season.
 
Third-year right side hitter Alina Dormann leads the OUA in kills (4.20) and points (5.3) per set, while rookie setter Angelica Hovanessian ranks first in the league averaging 9.50 assists per set so far this season.
 
Toronto's men are 1-1 to start the season after a 3-0 victory over Trent and a 3-0 loss at Nipissing this past weekend. They will look to hand the Rams their first loss of the season after a 4-0 start.
 
Sophomore outside hitter Alex Barnes ranks third in the province averaging 4.40 kills, 4.9 points and 2.80 digs per set so far this season.
