Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team fell in straight sets (13-25, 20-25, 18-25) to the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday night (Nov. 11) in North Bay, Ont.

The Blue and White were paced by outside hitters Alex Barnes and Nicholas Trewern who finished the night with 9.5 and nine points, respectively. Barnes registered eight kills, one service ace, and one assisted block, while Trewern recorded all nine points from kills. Both versatile players also led the team defensively with six digs apiece.

The Lakers saw three players finish with double-digit points, led by Steve Wood's 14. Wood collected 10 kills, two aces, and four assisted blocks.

The Varsity Blues will look to bounce back as they return home to Goldring Centre to take on the visiting Ryerson Rams next Friday, November 17. First serve is set for 8 p.m. with the match also streamed live on OUA.tv.
