Fourth-year guard Sage Usher led all players with 28 points as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team wrapped up their pre-season schedule with an 88-84 loss to the StFX X-Men on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 22) in Montreal.
 
Usher went 12-for-22 from the floor, including 4-for-10 from beyond the arc, and added seven rebounds and two assists on the day.
 
Rookie guard Evan Shadkami added 15 points and seven rebounds, while Nikola Paradina had 10 points and five boards.
 
The Varsity Blues open their 2017-18 regular season campaign next Saturday, October 28 as they travel to Sault Ste Marie, Ont., to take on the Algoma Thunderbirds.
