The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team dropped a back-and-forth preseason battle with the UQAM Citadins 70-67 in Montreal, Que., on Saturday evening (Oct. 21).

Going down to the last seconds, the Varsity Blues were unable to complete the comeback after falling behind in the second quarter.

Fifth-year guard Reilly Reid led all players on the night with 25 points, shooting 7-for-13 from the field and 9-for-11 from the free throw line, with several of those free throws coming in the closing minute.

Fellow guard Christopher Barrett added 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while forward Daniel Johansson recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Blue and White will end their three-game preseason trip to Montreal challenging the St. FX X-Men tomorrow afternoon (Oct. 22).
