The University of Toronto Fastpitch team recorded two big wins during their double header against the Ryerson Rams on Tuesday night (Sept. 20).
With a final score of 12-5, pitcher Annie Vlahiotis gave up only three hits and three earned runs in the first game of the evening.  Leading the Blues to their seven-run lead was Alika Kingsbury, who went 4-for-4 at the plate, scoring four runs, with two stolen bases, as well as Nicole Knudsen, who in her three plate appearances had a triple, two singles and had four RBI.
The second game of the evening was pitched by veteran Taisley Isaac, who gave up only two earned runs and had 10 strikeouts to lead the Blues to a 7-4 win. Isaac was also 2-for-3 at the plate, driving in one run. Joining her efforts at the plate was right fielder, Aliya Shafi who went 3-for-4 and Knudsen, with a 2-for-4 record including a home run. Michelle Miller and Mercedes Roddau also recorded two hits, and drove in one run.
The Blues are now sitting third in the OIWFA with a 10-2 record. U of T travels to Waterloo and Laurier this weekend for games on Friday night, and Sunday morning, looking to keep the roll going.
