Box Score The No. 3 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team kept their unbeaten streak alive with a dominant 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-21) victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday, February 6 at Montpetit Hall.
With the win, the Blues improve to 15-0 and clinch home court advantage for the quarter-final round of the OUA playoffs. Toronto is now guaranteed at least a second-place finish in the OUA East division.
Veteran middle Bojana Radan and left side hitter Caleigh Cruickshank led the Blues with 10 points apiece in the victory. Radan tallied eight kills, two blocks and two digs, while Cruickshank had six kills, four aces and three digs on the day.
Rookie standout Alina Dormann registered eight kills and two digs, while both Anna Feore and Tessa Davis had seven points. Feore notched four kills, three aces and four digs, with Davis adding four kills, two blocks and one ace.
Fourth-year setter Madelyn Mandryk tallied 27 assists and eight digs in the victory.
The Gee-Gees were led by Alix Durivage, who notched six kills, 2.5 blocks and one ace in the loss.
The Varsity Blues are back in action tomorrow (Feb. 6) as they host the Lakehead Thunderwolves at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Opening serve is set for 3 p.m.Â
