SECOND HALF STRUGGLES SINKS BLUES

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell 84-79 to the Guelph Gryphons on Friday, February 19 in Guelph, Ont.
 
With the loss, Toronto drops to 5-11 but remains in third place in the OUA East, while the Gryphons improve to 9-8 but sit fourth in the Central division.
 
Fourth-year forward Devin Johnson led all players with 33 points, going 9-for-19 from the field and 14-for-15 from the free throw line, while adding four rebounds.
 
Daniel Johansson added 14 points and three boards, while rookie guard Devon Williams had 14 points and three assists on the night. Veteran forward Manny Sahota recorded seven points and a team-high seven rebounds in the loss.
 
Five different Gryphons hit double digits, with Ahmed Haroon leading the way with 21 points. Drew Walford also had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
 
The Varsity Blues return to the court tomorrow night (Feb. 20) as they head to Thunder Bay to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
