BLUES OH SO CLOSE IN LOSS TO LANCERS

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell 86-84 to the Windsor Lancers on Wednesday night (Nov. 30) at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 4-3 and remain tied for second in the OUA East division, while the Lancers improve to 4-3 and sit second in the West.
 
Down 84-81 with 11.8 seconds to go, third-year guard Seun Olutogun drained a game-tying three to even the score at 84-84. However, a foul called on the Blues gave Mike Rocca of the Lancers the game-winning free throws.
 
Fifth-year forward Devin Johnson led the Blues with 23 points and seven boards, while third-year guard Sage Usher tallied 18 points, seven boards and four assists on the night.
 
Veteran guard Reilly Reid notched a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds, with sophomore forward Daniel Johansson recording 10 points in the loss.
 
Micqueel Martin paced the Lancers with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Luke Allin notched 18 points in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues wrap up the fall semester hosting the Western Mustangs this Saturday, December 3 at Goldring Centre. Tip off is set for 4 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here.
